The company was established with a focus towards addressing pastoralist livelihood systems, livestock production, value addition and natural resource management challenges in the drylands (i.e. pasture, water and lands).
Since 2015, the Company has operated in those contexts where income, social stability and food are closely interlinked with seasonal mobility and agricultural productivity.
Consequent to a progressive loss of access to lands, pastoralists have been forced within limited space. This has resulted in land degradation, occasional conflicts over natural resources and diminishing of productivity.
All these effects, associated with a positive demographic growth, increase pressure on the already over exploited natural resources in the arid areas of the world and contribute to the erosion of the copying strategies traditionally put in place by pastoralist and agro-pastoralist communities to overcome shocks.
